All the vacation homes belong to private owners and therefore feature different fittings and amenities.
Electricity - Oil - Water The holiday homes are supplied with 220 Volts AC. The electricity meter is usually located on the outside of the house, sometimes covered by a flap. The main fuse box/relay is usually inside the house or the shed. The electricity meter shows whole units only. Some of the houses have oil central heating. Oil consumption can be read off the oil meter. In some houses, water will also be metered.
Winter rental 01/11 - 01/04 We are heating the house for your arrival. Therefore you may pay ekstra for electricity.
Bedrooms The bedrooms can be small and narrow. The beds are fitted with box mattresses or rubber foam mattresses. The standard bed dimensions are 180-190 x 70-85 cm. Many houses contain double beds measuring 140 x 200 cm. Pillows, duvets and mattress protectors are provided. You will need to bring your own bed linen, towels and tea towels. Shelf and wardrobe space is often limited and shelving covered by a curtain is not unusual. DB = Double bed B = Single bed Bunk = Bunk bed
Bathroom facilities All the holiday homes contain showers. Given that the size and fixtures vary a good deal from house to house, the shower will either be a shower cabinet, a shower with curtain or, as in a few cases, a shower attachment to fit to the hand basin.
Do not flush nappies, sanitary towels or tampons! Doing this will block the system and you will be unable to use the lavatory until a plumber has been called out to unblock the system.
Sauna The sauna panel has 2 dials. One is for setting the temperature, the other is a timer for pre-setting when the sauna is to come on. If you want to start heating the sauna for immediate use, set the dial within the first quarter.
Wood stove The cosy fireplace in most of the houses will usually be a closed cast iron stove. Driftwood from the beach must not be burnt since it contains salt which ruins the stove. Wood from the plantation must also not be used, as it will not be completely dry and could therefore cause embers to leap out on to the carpet. Suitable firewood is sold at various places, including the local supermarket.
Dogs and other pets Some of our house owners do not allow pets in the house. The catalogue indicates the houses where pets are not permitted. In houses where pets are allowed, please make sure that dogs are not left unattended. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when you are in the town and out walking.
Allergies Please be aware that holiday homes where pets are not allowed are not necessarily suitable for people with other allergies.
TV Many holiday homes have satellite/cable TV. The programmes available will vary from house to house.
Telephone Incoming calls means that you will be able to receive telephone calls, but will not be able to make outgoing calls. You will, however, always be able to dial the emergency servicenumber 112. The other types of telephones, permitting both incoming and outgoing calls, are fitted with a meter (units used will be payable on departure) or are coin-operated.
Bicycles Are provided as added extras with some houses, and do not influence the rental cost. The condition of the bicycles cannot be guaranteed.
Sunbeds In most cases this will be a basic fixture suspended above one of the beds. More rarely, the house will contain a sandwich solarium for tanning on both sides.
Hot tub A hot tub is basically a large bath which you fill and empty again as required. In some houses, the hot tub will be permanently filled with water recycled through a filter. With this type of hot tub, you will not be able to let the water out or switch off the dehumidifier.
Houses with swimming pools The water in all swimming pools is checked once a week.
Tents/caravans/mobile homes Are not permitted on the property.
Refuse removal Dustbins will be emptied during the week, i.e. independently of guest arrivals/departures.
Cleaning On departure, the holiday home must be left clean and tidy. If you do not wish to do this yourself, please book the cleaning services from Schultz-Dantourist.
Damage No matter how careful you are, you might still accidentally damage something inside or outside the house. Naturally, weare aware ofthat these things happen, but we kindly ask you to report any damage to Schultz-Dantourist as soon as possible. We will then have the damage repaired at your own personal expense or against your insurance cover. |
